Here is my recommendation for a two days travel to beautiful Toledo, Spain. The best season to travel there is the Autumn or Spring since the weather is good and the city is till not too crowded with tourists. You can take a short train ride to Toledo, less than one hour, from the capital city, Madrid. Toledo is a historic city located in central Spain, approximately 70 kilometers southwest of Madrid. It is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and rich cultural heritage, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Some of the highlights of Toledo include: The Cathedral of Toledo, a Gothic masterpiece that contains the tomb of the famous painter El Greco.

The Church of Santo Tomé, which houses El Greco’s most famous painting, “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz.”
The Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, a Mudéjar-style synagogue dating back to the 12th century.
The Alcázar of Toledo, a fortress and palace that dates back to the 8th century and offers panoramic views of the city.
The Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, a 15th-century Franciscan monastery that features a mix of Gothic and Mudéjar architectural styles.
The Mudéjar Palace of Torre del Oro, a palace and tower from the 13th century that was used as a royal residence and today serves as a military museum.
The city’s walls and gates, which encircle the old town, are great spot for taking a leisurely walk and enjoying the views of the city and its landmarks.
Toledo also has a rich cultural heritage and history, with influences from Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures, which makes it a great spot for people interested in history and culture.
Toledo is easily accessible by train or bus from Madrid, and there are several tour companies that offer guided tours of the city. Visitors can also explore the city on their own using the good public transportation available.
